“Tezuka Gene - Light In The Darkness” Exhibit

Often referred to as the ‘Father of Anime’ and the Walt Disney of Japan, now deceased artist Osamu Tezuka has immeasurably influenced Japanese culture. To commemorate his would-be 80th birthday, a handful of premier contemporary Japanese visual artists tweaked the genes of Tezuka’s manga characters in dozens of works featured at the recent “Tezuka Gene - Light in the Darkness” exhibit at Parco Factory in Shibuya.
