1,000 Paro Robots Migrating To Denmark

Go ahead, say it. Awwww. This baby harp seal is actually a robot named PARO, who is used primarily for therapeutic purposes, specifically:
Paro is an advanced interactive robot developed by AIST, a leading Japanese industrial automation pioneer. It allows the documented benefits of animal therapy to be administered to patients in environments such as hospitals and extended care facilities where live animals present treatment or logistical difficulties.
Basically, Paro is the most comforting, realistic, and cute animal robot ever created, even earning a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for “world’s most therapeutic robot” - and we can see why! Although the well-traveled Paro now resides at welfare institutions in more than 20 nations around the world, the Danish government is the first organization to make a large-scale purchase - 1,000 of them to be exact - which will be used in Denmark health care facilities. Looks like Denmark may soon be the most peaceful place in the world! But the biggest question is, can you buy one? Yes. More info HERE.
