Skate Stopped Skate Spots In San Francisco

So, we recently informed you that out in Europe, forward-thinking architects ask skaters to help design free-flowing superstructures that double as natural outdoor “skate parks”. But as most of you may know, the good ol’ U.S.A. is on a skate stoppin’ hustle, where official skate stopper employees make a living off destroying spots. Uncle Geez did a mini-photo documentary about a handful of spots out in San Francisco that have succumbed to ugly knobs, bricks, anchors, and any other twisted device that prevents skaters from thrashing. The sad part is, most of the younger generation never had the opportunity to hit the streets and hunt down natural skate spots, rather, they grew up in made-for-skating skate parks (Jim Greco hates skate parks) where creativity, exploration, and the true “imaginative” essence of skating is lost - but hey, that’s their problem. Check out more skate stopped San Francisco spots below and get out and shred while you can before we’re all confined to skate parks cages.
