Trapezoid Watches by Naoto Fukasawa
November 25th, 2008 in Gadgets by Lars

Pricey watches that make telling time borderline impossible are so 3 weeks ago. Made for fashion label Issey Miyak, designer Naoto Fukasawa brings us his Trapezoid Watch, which comes in a variety of colors - like the fire-on-your-wrist color-up above. Basically all the watch style must-be’s are on-point, but the standout design is the sloping bezel, which displays numbers that are stretched like road markings so that they appear normally when seen straight-on. Check out some highlights from the collection below and visit Issey Miyak for info on availability.

Faceless LED Watch by Hiranao Tsuboi
November 11th, 2008 in Gadgets by Lars

Many brands are trying to make watches ‘cool’ by making it extremely difficult to tell the time. Good thing Hiranao Tsuboi (100per.com) designed this faceless LED Watch that not only looks wrist-worthy, but is easy to read. Doing away with a face, Tsuboi built LED lights directly into the band–we like. Right now it’s in the design process, but give an assortment of other bands/colors and you’ll have a winner. Nooka Holiday 2008 Collection
November 9th, 2008 in Gadgets by Lars

Don’t call ‘em a watch company. Nooka is actually a design label whose first project happened to be watches. With that in mind, Nooka’s Holiday 2008 lineup proves true with just as much design aesthetic (or more) than functionability. Sure, the watches tell time in a unique way, but the artwork and appearance are just as resounding. This collection boasts models like the Camo Zenh (pictured above), fiery orange Zub, and 5-star stylish Aluminum Zot, so everyone will find a piece taste-fitting and cherisable for years to come. Take a detailed look at more models below and visit Karmaloop to order yours direct.
