Louis Vuitton NYC Store Gets “Gift Wrapped”

Doesn’t matter how many designer bags you have, you’ll never be able to afford Louis Vuitton’s latest luxury item. Introducing the first-ever gift wrapped Louis Vuitton store! In an attempt to get everyone’s minds off the crumbling economy and hands back in their pockets, the French luxury leather goods label will be literally wrapping their whole NYC flagship store in Takashi Murakami’s iconic Monogram Multicolor print–sorry girlies, can’t buy this one! Exclusively designed for the LV NYC flagship store, this vinyl display should be fully completed by Sunday and will also be signed by Takashi Murakami. If that doesn’t catch your attention and drag you into the store, perhaps this will:

Just in September, Louis Vuitton opened the “Bag Bar” on the mezzanine level. With a concept design created by Peter Marino & Advanced Animations, furnishing features include bar stools along with a moving display of fixtures to highlight different handbag styles. Although the NYC flagship store is not the only LV location to have the Bag Bar installation, the 5th avenue location is the only location to have a “moving” installation. The new Bag Bar section of the 5th Ave flagship store also features Richard Prince Art and display panels created by artist Mary Kuzma along with Peter Marino.
